It is a slight departure from vanilla style, but I think it looks really good. It does shift away from vanilla a little bit, but it's high quality and lore friendlyĬhitin/Chitin Heavy/Morag Tong: Recommended. Use only the Dragonscale files.ĭaedric: Recommended. It's the same resolution as vanilla, but a little bit cleaned up and prettified. It's the vanilla Dragonplate set, in HD.ĭragonscale: Acceptable. It is a terrific overhaul of basically all the clothing in the game, including many of the cloth based armor sets (Thalmor, Shrouded Robes, etc).ĭragonplate: Required. Now, because Cabal hasn't actually compiled all of his work into Book of Silence, you'll also need his Imperial Light and Studded, Stormcloak Officer, armor retextures. To start, you'll need to get aMidianBorn Book of Silence (Weapons, Armors, and Dragonborn are mandatory for this guide but all are recommended). For those that do, run the files through SSE NIF Optimizer, or you will risk crashing your game. Most will simply need to be installed manually, however a few have mesh files (.nif). Note that this guide will work for Oldrim, but will take a little bit of extra work for SSE.
#AMIDIANBORN SKYRIM FLOATING IMPERIAL HEADS MOD#
This mod was only included for completeness sake
YMMV, you might prefer vanilla in this case. Still better than vanilla, but really not great. It doesn't really do anything spectacular. A replacement is unlikely, but would be welcome.Īcceptable. To that end, I will rate every single mod that I gather as: I've tried to maintain a certain level of faithfulness to the vanilla style. If you can get two copies of it, it's here (if enough people request it, I may do a guide for unique weapons and armor). The goal of the guide is to retexture every non unique weapon and armor set in the game. I read through all the comments carefully, made a few judgement calls, and put together this guide. Merilia for applying proper textures for the mod.ĪmidianBorn/CaBaL for their impressive work.I decided to make this guide after this post of mine started gaining a little bit of traction. Hothtrooper and every author who contributed to the compilation. Coming next will be the Clansman's helm and the Chainmail Jerkin. Hopefully I'll be adding more retextures for Immersive Armors. This fixes that, giving the set an unique, more serious and friendly look (see screenshots, the helmet top IS dark red, though with my actual visual settings it isn't very clear). Originally, that texture set replaced the cuirass and shoulderpads, but the contrast was very ugly, as the bracers, boots and helmet were still pretty white/silver. This file replaces and darkens the textures given by Merilia (get the mod HERE) from the amidianBorn/CaBaL originals made for the Heroic Imperial Armor set from Immersive Armors. The cuirass is still the same textures and is not included, just the fixed files for the inner nord plate shoulderpads that originally had standard amidianborn textures, now darkened to fit the armor. Requires original mod textures by Merilia. REQUIRES IMMERSIVE ARMORS and AMIDIANBORN TEXTURES FOR IMMERSIVE ARMORS.ġ.1 - Reuploaded file.
